Austin Police Department Officer Killed In The Line Of Duty
It is with a very heavy heart that I report that 41 year old Austin Police Department's Senior Officer Jaime Padron was shot and killed in the line of duty this morning. APD's Chief Art Acevedo reports that the gunman has been booked into The Travis County Jail on Capital Murder charges. Officer Padron leaves behind two children.
Investigators say APD Senior Officer Jaime Padron responded to a call of an intoxicated person at a Walmart store. A fight began and the man pulled out a semi-automatic gun. He shot and killed Padron.
